Paul Johnson

Paul Johnson is President of Reliant Safety Solutions, LLC (RSS). He started his career as an ironworker in California. During that time, he discovered his passion for teaching others and instructed ironworker apprentices. After 16 years in steel erection and training, he relocated to Texas to assume the position of safety manager of a large General Contractor developing OCIP safety procedure to projects. There he designed and implemented a behavioral-based safety program (BBS) for an oil and gas company in Kuwait. He discovered an opportunity to start a new risk management company with an oil and gas engineering firm in Texas. He oversaw new business and developed training with a focus on drilling & exploration personnel.

In 2015, Mr. Johnson left the engineering firm and started Reliant Safety Solutions, LLC (RSS). RSS is the fastest growing safety consultant company that operates in construction and oil & gas. With employees working in Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, and Austin, Reliant Safety Solutions continues to serve the safety needs of our clients across the United States.

As President of RSS, Paul also teaches at Houston Community College, offering training in the latest standards and technology for the safety and oil & gas industry. He also sits on the AGC and Texo safety committee and recently received the Associated General Contractors Ray Lambright Award in 2016 for his dedication to safety by his peers in the industry.
